Boy it sure rained a lot last night. Think it woke me up almost every hour. Not sure if that's the reason that I got up this morning with the worst kink in my neck that I've ever had, but the good news is I'm at home today so I don't need to look over my shoulder in the car today. Friday Morning Commute

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. I was actually surprised that I didn't see more traffic on i90 this morning but maybe most people aren't traveling till tonight or perhaps the high gas prices really are impacting peoples travel plans. Also didn't see any police cars this morning after I've been seeing them on my drive quite a bit lately. What I did see was an unusual high amount of redwing blackbirds. That got me thinking and wondering why it's so common to see them along highways but I never see them in residential areas. I couldn't think of any answer other then that maybe they like road kill but who knows. Might get a little rain this weekend but over all it's suppose to be nice out. Drive safe.

We're starting off a bit chilly this morning but things look nice and should be warming up into the 70's for this weekend. That's good news with people traveling and spending time outside for the Memorial Day holiday. With more people on the roads it's a good idea to use a little extra caution and as always drive safe.

Wednesday Morning

I'm at home again today so once again no current road condition pictures. We're to the point of the year where even for Minnesota and Wisconsin it would be extremely unusual to have any kind of snow or slushy road. The temps still aren't as warm as they should be though with some areas around here still getting down to the freezing mark the last few nights. Looks like 70's are on the way for the weekend though. Monday Morning Commute

It's a brand new week and the tree pollen counts must be up cause my allergies were acting up yesterday. Looks like we are going to get some rain today and it's starting off a little on the chilly side. Something was going on just East of the Rushford Exit 249 as I saw three police cars all with cars pulled over in the East bound lanes of i90 all within less then a mile. Couldn't tell if they were just trying to crack down on speeders there or if it was something bigger. Tried to snap a picture but it didn't turn out well. Anyways have a good Monday and drive safe.

I am at work today but wasn't able to take any new pictures of i90 road conditions. It's going to be a gorgeous day though so enjoy. I did have some wooden pallets fall of a pickup in front of me this morning which just goes to show it's always important to stay alert. I was able to avoid them but it was more luck then my being alert. Enjoy today and drive safe.

It was a bit cloudy this morning when I left La Crosse but the clouds quickly gave way to blue skies in Minnesota and it looks like it will be a beautiful day. There's not much prettier then the sun shinning through parts of a cloudy sky and lighting up select bluffs around here. My pictures of course couldn't due it justice but what a site. My drive into Rochester, MN along i90 was dry this morning. We had thunderstorms in La Crosse, WI last night though and the sky seemed to get darker the closer I got to Rochester so we probably are in for some wet weather ahead. Have a good weekend and drive safe.
