Tuesday Morning Commute

For some reason my phone won't send any pictures to my on-line album so there are no new pictures today of the road conditions. i90 is dry and sunny though so you won't have any problems. There was some snow covering the grass in spots over by Nodine, MN though which was strange to see. Also it seems like there are a few extra police officers out there keeping us safe today. Monday Morning

It's the last Monday in April and would you believe it's snowing out my window. Doesn't look like it's sticking to the roads though so that's good. I'm working from home today so no new pictures of what i90 looks like in this April snow. The good news is that the snow is supose to turn to rain by mid day so it won't stick around long (if it even sticks to the ground at all). As always drive safe.

Friday Morning Commute

Finally it's Friday. Something about all the rain we've been getting makes the weeks seem really long. My drive in this morning provided the heaviest rain this week though still not a an all out downpour. You want to be a bit careful in places where the road dips because there was enough water in some of those places to pull my car slightly while going the speed limit. Really driving on i90 isn't an issue today though. Between some fog and the rain though be sure to keep your eyes open and drive safe.

Thursday Morning Commute

Thunderstorms and rain are in the forecast for today (and into tomorrow I believe). It certainly rained on my way to work. Really it didn't let up the whole way into Rochester, MN from La Crosse WI. Never was a absolute downpour but enough to make me a bit tired by the time I got to work. Either that or it's my allergy medicine, Zyrtec that is making me tired as I just started taking it for this year. O well. It's better to be tired then all stuffed up and sneezing. Tis the season. I'm working at home today so no new road condition pictures. It's shaping up to be a gorgeous day though so you shouldn't have any problems on i90. As always drive safe.

Tuesday Morning Commute

I think Spring is finally here in the Midwest. Snow seems to be a distant memory (well not that distant) but we do have some thunderstorms today. Over by La Crosse, WI the sky was a bit clearer when I left but as I got further into Minnesota the rain started to fall. It never was overly heavy but it was steady for a good part of my drive to Rochester, MN. As always, drive safe.

Thursday Morning Commute

Thursday morning on i90 is looking pretty nice again and best of all the wind isn't as bad today either. There are some clouds to the West that look like could produce some rain today but no problems driving. Over by Houston, MN / HWY 76 -- Exit 257 on i90 there was a boom truck doing something in the ditch (see picture below). Can't quite figure out what they were doing. Wednesday Morning

I'm working at home today so no pictures of the current road conditions. Trust me that they are fine however as it's going to hit 70 degrees here in La Crosse, WI today. The only thing is that it is spose to be very windy. Yesterday was pretty windy on my drive home as well. Below is a picture I snapped of a road sign that wasn't doing so well with the wind. Hold onto the wheel today and drive safe.

Another beautiful morning on i90. There were more police officers on the road then normal last night on my drive home as well as this morning making me wonder if they are increasing their patrolls now that it's getting nicer. As always drive safe.

It's Monday morning and after spending the a long weekend in northern Minnesota for a wedding where they had blizzard like conditions, it sure is nice to be back down here in the "tropics." Lot's of blue sky today and the sunshine feels great. Drive safe and enjoy the good weather.

There had been some talk about us getting an inch of snow last night or this morning but as you can see there was no sign of that on i90 on my drive into work today. Still wish it was a bit warmer but at least we aren't shoveling snow anymore. Drive safe and have a good day.

My drive into Rochester along i90 was pretty good today. Only thing I can really complain about is the sun isn't out but at least there is no precipitation or gusty winds to deal with. Sounds like more winter could be on the way for tonight so drive safe.

Working from home today so no new pictures. The precipitation does look like it is finished so that is good. Road conditions in Minnesota still are listed as Difficult Driving though and someone I talked to this morning said that the roads in Rochester, MN were slick.
