Monday Midday Roads

Left work around midday today as the roads are definitely getting messy around Rochester, MN. Saw probably a half dozen cars in the ditch on HWY 52. The biggest issues was that there was an inch or more of slush on the roads with a little bit of ice underneath that. Passing semis really kicked up a lot of slush on me to the point where it was hard to see anything. The good news is that once I got to the St Charles exit on i90 it turned to mostly just rain. Take your time out there and drive safe.

Monday Morning Commute

The sky is pretty gray this morning but i90 was in good shape on my commute to Rochester from La Crosse. They are predicting 2 to 5 inches of snow in Rochester today so that could sicken things up but right now the temp is still well above freezing so it wouldn't surprise me if we don't get anything. Thursday Morning

It's Thursday morning and I'm working from home so no new pictures. The good news is that it sounds like we won't be getting anywhere near as much snow as they were originally talking (probably less then an inch I heard last) so the roads conditions shouldn't get to bad. It's another beautiful morning and i90 is in great shape. My parkinglot was a bit slick with some black ice when I stepped out of my car in Rochester, MN but the roads seem bad at all, maybe just a bit wet in spots. As always, drive safe.

Friday Morning Roads

Things are looking pretty dicey out there today so I'm staying put and working from home. I did get out and a bout a little bit around 7:30 this morning though and snapped a few shots on i90 here in La Crosse, WI. From what I can tell it only gets worse in Minnesota and someone I work with said things were a mess in Rochester, MN this morning when she came in. We might get up to 10 inches of snow today so if you do have to be out and about, drive safe and have a happy Good Friday.

Wednesday Afternoon

Been a busy morning so that's why I haven't been able to post any updates till now. It's a beautiful day out there though so be sure to enjoy it. No problems on i90 today. Drive safe and catch some sun.

Tuesday Morning Commute

Well I made my way over to Rochester, MN leaving La Crosse, WI around 9:30 this morning. i90 were in better shape then I thought it would be and was great on the Wisconsin side of the border. Once I got up the hill to around the Nodine, MN / HWY 12 -- Exit 266, things got really foggy and there was visible patches of ice in spots especially in the passing lane. The fog started lifting around Rushford, MN -- HWY 43 S -- Exit 249 though and from there on the roads were mostly just wet. HWY 52 coming into Rochester was in good shape as well. We'll have to keep an eye on things today though as those wet roads could freeze up for the drive home. Drive safe.

Tuesday Morning

Things are looking a little dicey out there so so I'm planning to go into work a little bit later this morning. Wanted to at least leave an update on the roads though. Here in La Crosse, WI they appear mostly wet this morning and road conditions are listed as good. Things go down hill though the further you go into Minnesota according to MN road conditions so if you heading out there, drive carefully. I talked to someone in Rochester, MN this morning who said lot's of cars have been going into the ditch due to ice on the roads in that area. Hopefully things improve as the sun comes out. If I do make it in, I'll be sure to post some pictures. Drive safe.

Monday Morning

Good Monday Morning. I'm starting off this week by working at home over here in La Crosse, WI so no new road condition pictures today. It's been snowing a bit here this morning but it appears to be melting when it hits the ground. Driving on i90 may be a little bit trickier in Minnesota though as road conditions are listed as fair to poor there this morning and it looks like they have recieved more snow so far. With temps right around the freezing mark be sure to drive extra safe today.

Friday Morning Commute

Things are starting to get lighter out earlier again since the first few days since we set the clocks ahead which is nice. It's also nice to see all the snow melting. It's amazing how different things can look in only a matter of days. Of course with all that melting snow there are a few patches of ice to becareful for on i90 this mornging primarilly in Minnesoata. Drive safe and have a good weekend.

Monday morning's drive in from La Crosse, WI to Rochester, MN was smooth sailing all the way. Thanks to daylight savings time change this weekend it was still dark when I left making it mostly impossible to get any good pictures for most of the drive. The roads are good though. I90 is in great shape again today. Last night I did notice a few slick spots under bridges so there might still be a few of those out there but once again the sun is shining and my commute was smooth sailing. As always, drive safe.

I'm working from home today but was out and about for a bit around 7 am this morning. Right now i90 looks pretty good here in La Crosse, WI. Thing look a bit dicier in MN when I checked road conditions though and a quick glance at the radar shows that it should start snowing here anytime. We aren't suppose to get much snow but it will probably be enough to make things a little slick in spots. Have a good day and drive safe.

Monday Roads

Working from home today was out and about this morning around 7:30 AM in La Crosse, WI. There is plenty of ice out there (especially on the secondary roads) so do be careful. For the little bit I was on i90, the interstate looked like it had some ice in spots but overall looked better then the state highways. Minnesota Road Conditions are listed as worse then over here so be sure to slow down and drive safely.
